Acton Gardens Community Centre is based at the heart of the Acton Gardens development in West London.
Our 15 years of experience in community development helped to create an inclusive and flexible space that is now a focal point for the whole community.
In 2017 London Development Trust was approached by developers Countryside Properties about a new regeneration project in the London Borough of Ealing.
LDT worked in partnership with Countryside Properties, L&Q and the local housing association to develop designs for the new centre.
Acton Gardens Community Centre opened in July 2019, and provides a space for community leaders, families and local groups to meet.
The Centre is a hub of activity offering classes in ballet, drama and arts and crafts. The space also hosts a lunch club for older people and after school tuition sessions for young people.
Upstairs at Acton Gardens Community Centre is a modern, purpose-built co-working space. Perfect for freelancers, start-ups or anyone looking for a professional working environment. This is an ideal space for local entrepreneurs to meet and share ideas and for businesses to flourish.
Hire of the co-working space generates an income stream for Acton Gardens Development Trust. Based on or Social Enterprise model this income is then reinvested into our community; meaning we are able to provide community activities free of charge or at a very low cost.
